VR Games Let's Plays

I was trying to think of something kind of relevant and I figured a good thing to share would maybe be a playlist from my favorite (and only one I watch actually) gaming channel on YouTube. Achievement Hunter is very much a comedy group (as opposed to, say, people who actually try to be good at games) and I've been following them since sometime in high school. They do videos in VR games every so often, including a few recently for Halloween for the Exorcist horror VR game. Without further ado, if you've got time and want a laugh, I present a playlist of a number of their VR hijinks.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAMpL5I_mJc&list=PLTur7oukosPFTwwdIhQKuORW8IZREvrbR

Progress Update

So I've finished creating my models and pretty much all the sort of artistic stuff. My focus is pretty much on getting the game to actually, y'know, work right now. Which is always easier said than done of course. Mostly I'm trying to adapt the scripts from the SteamVR plugin to my needs to be able to control the 'spaceship'. At the moment, I'm attempting to modify the controls for an RC car to work. It's not quite ideal, and I find that they're a little less intuitive than what I'd prefer but I'd kinda be happy just to have something that moves and works at all. On the bright side, I finally got the controls to highlight when you hover over it, so that was progress. I've also started implementing a system to track the targets and score, which is almost the easier thing at the moment since I have more experience doing that kind of thing. Regardless, I'm working to get everything working together somehow. So that's about where I...

Last Model Screenshots

Figured I should post some screenshots of the last model for my game that I finished. I had originally made a different one but it wasn't working out so well so now I've got this one. It's the cockpit the control seat will sit it and the top has a transparent material applied so the player can see out of it.

Some Helpful VR Sources

For my thesis class, we had an assignment last week that involved looking up research articles relevant to our topics. I thought I'd post what I found here as well in case referring back to them might be helpful. They are a bit more technical than what is really likely to help but they're here nonetheless. I wanted to post a couple screenshots of the first 3D models I made for this project: The seat the player will be sitting in, will be inside a cockpit The targets a player will be flying through
